Junior Vet Academy is a hands-on veterinary summer camp designed for kids and teens who want to explore animal care, veterinary medicine, and possible careers working with animals. Campers learn through age-appropriate activities that introduce real veterinary concepts while building confidence, curiosity, and practical skills.

Campers work with a variety of animals in both farm and clinical settings while learning from veterinary professionals and experienced instructors. Activities may include animal examinations, basic veterinary skills, anatomy, animal health, and other hands-on experiences that help campers better understand what veterinarians do every day.

Junior Vet Academy is based at 1870 Farm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, with both day and overnight camp options available. Overnight campers combine their veterinary camp experience at the farm with lodging connected to UNC-Chapel Hill, creating an immersive summer program for animal-loving kids and teens from North Carolina and beyond.
